This water coloring and glitter is tasteless and has super tiny, subtle glitter that adds some visual pizazz to drinks. This would be a fun addition to a Wicked themed party.
I did a test run for my Christmas drinks. My 7-up turned a beautiful color of green. The glitter shimmered in the glass. I am looking forward to seeing the smiles on my grandchildren's faces when they are served the "fancy" drinks at Christmas.
I have other edible drink glitter, but I like the fact that this comes in a dropper bottle for easy adding. I find that once I shake the bottle, 3-5 drops gives adequate shimmer to a normal sized martini. It does settle over time so the imbiber should stir it lightly occasionally with whatever stick they have. The effect, especially under bright lights is ethereal and fun.
The Glitter Faced - Mess-Free Edible Glitter Droppers are great! So incredibly easy to use in drinks since you don't have to mess with powder - you just shake, get a dropperfull and drop it into your drink! This worked really well with a carbonated drink - very sparkly and swirly!
Glitter Faced Glitter for Drinks (RED) truly doesn’t have any flavor even in water. In addition, it doesn’t leave a gritty or “glittery” feel in my mouth. The bottle says to use 1-3 drops, but I’m going to guess that they mean droppers full. I put 1 drop in a couple of tablespoons of water & got a very thin pinkish color. Three drops still didn’t really get red. It did make a pretty shimmery effect. However, some of the product settled at the bottom even after stirring. I do think it’s v…ery pretty & will continue to use this.
Just a half a eyedropper has a lot of sparkle in it. No flavor detected at all. The glitter does settle after a while but it's light enough that if you move the drink around a bit it will re integrate.
The glitter effect is lovely. The glitter does settle out over time so you need to swirl the glass periodically to keep it suspended. If you leave it overnight I found a film developed on the surface of the water, so... don't do that.I got both the red and the green, and the color effect was stronger in the red.
Really fun for drinks. No weird taste. Just a couple of drops and it makes your drink a bit fancy. Not sure how long the bottle will last, but it's fun for what you get.
I'm hosting Christmas this year and have been looking for ways to make the menu more festive. I came across this edible glitter and thought it would be perfect for the mixed drinks I’m planning to serve. I ordered the green variety to use in gin martinis, and after doing a test batch, I was really impressed! At first, the glitter looked a bit clumpy, but after shaking it in a cocktail shaker with ice and the other ingredients, it dispersed beautifully. It didn’t change the taste or texture of th…e martini, just added a little bit of pizzazz. While it didn’t drastically change the drink’s color, it gave it a nice, shimmery green shine—which was exactly the look I was hoping to achieve. I highly recommend this edible glitter to anyone looking to add a touch of sparkle and color to their cocktails this holiday season!
This is a concentrated bottle of food grade glitter that does a fantastic job. It is easily measured and metered by using the dropper. One drop is enough for one cocktail and it provides a lot of glitter but very small glitter as to add to the drink and not dominate the drink. No issues, superbly better than dry glitter.
